Pocket Attorney Legal
Deletion Policy
How account deletion works in Pocket Attorney, what happens to chats, attachments, transcripts, drafts, subscriptions, and token records, and what may be retained for compliance or security.
Aligned with the Pocket Attorney brand and app-facing legal experience.1. Purpose
This Deletion Policy explains how users of Pocket Attorney may request deletion of their account and associated service data, and what information may be retained by Forsythe Development for legal, security, operational, accounting, audit, and abuse-prevention purposes.
2. How To Request Account Deletion
You may request deletion of your Pocket Attorney account from within the app by opening the Delete Account screen, entering your password, and confirming the request.
If you cannot access the app, you may also contact us at PocketAttorney@outlook.com and request deletion. We may ask you to verify ownership of the account before acting on a request submitted outside the authenticated deletion flow.
3. What We Remove Or Disconnect
When a valid deletion request is processed, we generally disable the account and revoke access associated with that account. Depending on the feature set linked to the account, we may also remove, delete, or disconnect information such as:
- account profile records and active sessions;
- device registrations and push-notification tokens;
- chat history, chat attachments, AI prompts, AI outputs, note sessions, transcript records, and generated exports, where those records are still tied to the deleted account and are eligible for deletion;
- advertisements, repository submissions, tips, reviews, reports, or other user-generated content that is not required to be retained;
- connected-service links such as supported email connections; and
- stored access credentials or refresh tokens associated with connected features.
Some information may be anonymised, disassociated, or preserved in a reduced form instead of being immediately erased if full deletion is not technically possible or is not legally appropriate.
4. Information We May Retain
We may retain limited information where retention is reasonably necessary to:
- comply with Jamaican law or a lawful request;
- document subscription, billing, refund, token, accounting, tax, or audit history;
- maintain records of abuse-prevention, fraud-prevention, moderation, or security incidents;
- resolve disputes, enforce legal terms, or establish what actions were taken on an account;
- preserve backup integrity for a limited time before routine deletion or overwrite; or
- protect other users, service providers, or the platform.
Examples may include minimal account identifiers, transaction records, token-wallet records, deletion-request logs, and selected security or support records.
5. Subscriptions, Tokens, And Billing
Deleting your Pocket Attorney account does not automatically cancel any recurring subscription managed by Apple App Store, Google Play, or another third-party billing channel. If you subscribed through a mobile app store, you must also manage cancellation through that store’s account settings, subject to the store’s own billing rules.
If your account includes Pocket Attorney subscription entitlements or token records in our systems, access may end as part of deletion processing. Unless required by law or platform policy, deleting an account does not create a right to a refund of previously used or unused tokens, completed bundle purchases, or prior subscription periods.
6. Processing Time And Backups
Authenticated in-app deletion requests are generally processed more quickly because ownership is confirmed in the active account session. Requests made by email may take additional reasonable time because we may need to verify identity before taking action.
Even after deletion is processed, copies of certain data may remain in secure backups for a limited period before being overwritten or deleted in the ordinary course.
